Who is Kadidia?

Hi! I'm Kadidia Haidara (Kuh-DEE-Juh Ha-EE-Da-Ra). I am an eldest of 4, Malian American raised in the greater Atlanta area. I'm also a Georgia Tech alumna who studied Biomedical Engineering with hopes of pursuing global health development initiatives. Outside of school, I am a Clinical Business Systems Analyst for a â€‹â€‹small Boston-based biotech company. As of February 2025, I am a candidate for Johns Hopkin's MBA program that I will complete in May. In completion of this degree, I decided it would be beneficial for me to put all the management and leadership skills I've learned to practice by doing something beneficial for my beloved community.

My Story

Admittedly, I have a green thumb and I've always had an interest in environmental conservation and improving the conditions of underserved communities. This has been a common theme of mine, as I have done research and projects in the past that allowed me to engineer cost-effective solutions for specific challenges that low-income and underserved groups experience. Feel free to add me explore my LinkedIn to learn more about these efforts!

In my eyes, an entire community is only as good as its individuals. If a community contains residents and workers whose social and mental wellbeing, health, and needs are prioritized, then that community will thrive. That's what placemaking means to me - constantly improving a given location to ensure that the people living there can thrive for years to come with the resources provided in the surrounding area.

With this in mind, I've lived in the same general area most of my life, and I'm likely going to continue living here for a few more years. As a CityLab catalyst, I hope to use my leadership skills to build my community up so that everyone can thrive in our beautiful city.
